The Celebrity Beyond cruise ship will host a “Goop at Sea” retreat out of Barcelona in September, scaling back from 2021, when Goop committed health and wellness experts on four of the line’s cruises.
A Celebrity Cruises spokeswoman said the cruise line was returning to a singular wellness conference, which it had originally planned pre-pandemic.
Goop is a wellness and lifestyle company founded by actress Gwyneth Paltrow. She will make an appearance during the cruise, interviewing a wellness expert. The retreat will also include interactive sessions focused on enhancing the mind, body and soul; pop-up experiences including tastings, product trials and massages; and Goop-curated gifts.
The event is the product of a partnership between Celebrity and Goop, which originally paired up in early 2020. Paltrow became the cruise line’s well-being advisor in April of 2021 and will continue in that role.
This year, the Goop team will provide wellness offerings for the cruise line, including on-demand wellness classes on stateroom TVs, a detox smoothie and fitness tools for guests in AquaClass staterooms, and elevated wellness experiences. The Beyond will carry several Goop beauty products.
A nine-night cruise visiting ports in Italy and France will depart from Barcelona on Sept. 24. Tickets for “Goop at Sea” are on sale for $750 for guests who book suite accommodations in The Retreat.
