The property is located in downtown Kingston, overlooking the city’s waterfront and steps from the National Gallery of Jamaica as well as restaurants and nightlife. The initials ROK in the hotel name stand for Revival, Rebirth and Renaissance of Kingston, according to a hotel spokesperson.

It features 47 suites, three dining options, a pool, fitness center and six meeting rooms.

Couples San Souci refurb continues

Meanwhile, In Ocho Rios on Jamaica’s north coast, Couples Sans Souci is well into its $12 million renovation project that includes a new restaurant, upgraded spa facilities and public spaces as well as a variety of suite enhancements from furnishings to large walk-in showers and terrace tubs in selected penthouses.

“In virtually every respect, the resort will be new,” said Abe Issa, president of sales and marketing at Couples Resorts. “The renovation schedule was planned to have very little, if any, impact on the resort experience. The majority of public spaces have been open and operational since Aug. 1, including the main swim-up bar and five other bars as well as the spa, gym and multiple pools.”

Additional upgrades and new amenities include culinary offerings, including Asian-themed specialties, a coffee bar called Java, a massage hut alongside the lily pond and an expanded Balloon Bar.

The remaining renovations are expected to be completed by December.
