A foodie road trip combines the best of travel and food. With food events all over the UK and Europe taking place this winter, Indie Campers have named their favourite foodie destinations and events.

Food and travel are two of life’s greatest pleasures.

To combine the two and go on a foodie road trip will make for a truly wonderful holiday.

Experts at Indie Campers have named their favourite foodie destinations and events around the UK and Europe, and there is something for everyone.

The fair will give visitors a chance to try white truffles, as well as sample of Italy’s greatest wines.

If this wasn’t enough, there are also plenty of events, such as masterclasses and workshops, talks and live debates with chefs from around the world.

There are campsites around Alba that can be booked over the phone.

Ricardo Grijó from Indie Campers said: “Europe is full of amazing foods and fantastic festivals this autumn.

“Celebrate across the continent on a campervan adventure and bring back memories and recipes that will last forever.”

Time Out Market, Lisbon, Portugal – Open year-round
Britons don’t need to head to Lisbon right now to experience the Time Out Market and can plan their road trip for next year if they want.

Food stalls from the best of Lisbon’s restaurants serve food in this covered market.

There are 26 restaurants and eight bars to choose from, so this could well be somewhere visitors want to go back to multiple times during their stay in Lisbon.

On Tripadvisor, Sherry P said: “What’s not to love about this food market?

“Lots of food stalls, some featuring the area’s top chefs, providing a broad selection of dishes. There are also bars to provide libations.

“Be sure to leave room for dessert!

“We enjoyed the experience so much we made a return visit!”

There is a campsite 20 minutes away from Time Out Market.

Lisboa Camping has pitches from £17 a night.

Britons who’d rather stay in the UK for their foodie adventures should head to London.
