A Welsh campsite has been named the best site for families in the UK.
On the edge of Eryri National Park (formerly known as Snowdonia) Tyn-yr-Onnen Farm and Campsite in Waunfawr, Gwynedd, snagged the top spot in campsites.co.uk’s camping and clamping awards.
The campsite took home an almost perfect score of 4.86 out of five on the site, reports NorthWalesLive.

As a camping hotspot, it seems visitors enjoy the panoramic views and close vicinity of the sheep farm’s fluffy residents.
There are "spacious pitches and cosy pods" to choose from at the site which sits at the foot of the Moel Ellio Mountain.
There are modern toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower room, a utility room and a play park.
Plus BBQs and camp fires are allowed.
There are hundreds of acres of heathland surrounding the site which you can hike – and you’ll meet many animals including sheep, donkeys, lamas, pigs, ponies, chickens, ducks and turkeys.
In springtime, newborn lambs will have you falling in love with the area.
Plus, you can even walk to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (formerly Snowdon).
Eryri is one of the world’s few Dark Sky Reserves meaning stargazing is particularly beautiful in the area too.
Plenty of other camping, clamping, parks and holiday spots won prizes in the awards ceremony.
